About aneurisms. I actually know a woman, my grandson’s grandmother on their mom’s side, who suffered a brain aneurism. It took around 18 months of therapy, basically learning how to walk and talk all over again. My grandson’s mom nursed her mom back to health. If I’m not mistaken this health scare made her quit drinking and let me tell you, this woman went on binges that seemed endless. I believe she recovered close to 100%
The survival rate for those with a ruptured brain aneurysm is about 60% (40% die). For those who survive and recover, about 66% have some permanent neurological defect.
